Following the huge success of the summer recruitment fayre, the London Scottish Community team will attend the inaugural Richmond Running Festival on Sunday 22nd September.
The event will take place at Old Deer Park and will run from 8.30am, finishing at 5.00pm. With runners of all ages running in a number of races throughout the duration of the day, including our very own Mac the Lion, the day is shaping up to be a huge success.
Scottish will set up camp at the festival and offer a number of fun and engaging rugby activities, including TAG drop-in sessions, a fastest pass competition in the Deutsche Bank speed passing cage and lots of other exciting introductions to the game of rugby. There will be prizes to be won, with plenty London Scottish kit and equipment up for grabs.
Community Development Officer Ross Peacock is excited about the opportunity to further engage with the local community and is thoroughly looking forward to the event.
He said: “The Richmond Running Festival is a great event and is another opportunity for London Scottish to further engage with the local community. The community team have been working extremely hard over the off season, attending a number of summer fayres and I am pleased to say that we are now seeing the benefits of this both on and off the park.”
