In 2021 Guy, Joggy and Imran bought a £600 Jaguar in order to participate in a banger rally across the Lake District. A Jag in British racing green meant we had to dress it in the iconic Jaguar XJ220C Le Mans livery.
They are about to travel the Scottish Highlands on the legendary NC500, a route through Scotland’s most breathtaking landscapes in a £600 bargain basement Jaaaag! affectionally christened as Mick the Jagger.
Being motorsport fans and with the Jag already wearing British Racing Green, the boys had to give it a livery inspired by the Jaguar XJ220 Le Man car, as driven by none other than Scottish F1 lcon David Coulthard!
In the middle of March the group are participating in the Rustbox Rally NC500 where 50 bangers, ahem, cars past their prime, are embarking on the epic road trip raising money for charity.
This is all being done in support of Dementia UK. This is a charity close to their hearts as various close family members have been greatly affected by this cruel disease. Dementia UK are a specialist dementia nursing charity that provides free, life-changing support and advice to anyone affected by dementia.
Following previous European road trips, the boys are buzzing to finally see the Highlands…just hoping their knackered old clutch feels the same way!
So, what better way to kickstart our fundraising efforts in aid of for our big Scottish adventure than attending the home of the London Scottish on their Burns Night fixture!
The Jag will be in attendance along with the boys at this Saturday’s fixture, make sure to check it out and give generously if you are able.
A quick last point to note, is that the rally entry and all associated travel costs are completely funded by ourselves so all donations will go straight to Dementia UK.
