London Scottish are delighted to confirm a pre-season friendly against Strategic Club Partner Harlequins on Saturday 7 September at The Stoop (KO 15:00).
This fixture will be a great opportunity for both squads to prepare for the new season and give fans a glimpse of the long summer preparations before the news seasons.
Harlequins and London Scottish have enjoyed a successful partnership since the collaboration commenced in April 2022. As part of the agreement, Harlequins share player and coaching resource with London Scottish, providing invaluable playing opportunities, as well as growth and development experience for coaches and staff.
This will be the third time the two clubs have played a friendly since the partnership was formed, with Quins winning the inaugural match at the Richmond Athletic Ground in August 2022, before a close fought 12-25 victory over London Scottish in February this year.
Director of Rugby Billy Millard commented: “We’re excited to host London Scottish at The Stoop. We have enjoyed the first two seasons of our partnership, and this match is another important step in the development of our relationship. The fixture will play a vital part in the preparation for our season, with both sides selecting their strongest possible squads, and showcasing the exciting talent coming through the programme.”
Bryan Redpath, London Scottish Director of Rugby, added: “Coming up against Harlequins is always a special occasion for London Scottish, for the Club, the players and our supporters. With the relationship between the two clubs strengthening each season this is a great opportunity for our players to test themselves against the very best and to play on a fabulous stage like The Stoop. It promises to be a great day for both clubs and a fantastic opportunity to prepare for a big upcoming season for us.”
