Miles Wakeling wins first rugby league cap for Scotland U19

16th September 2016

Miles Wakeling, a member of the London Scottish Junior Academy and Under 18 team, has kept busy on the rugby field over the summer playing rugby league and representing Scotland Under 19s in the process.

Miles’s first competitive rugby league match was against the South Wales Scorpions in early August.

The newly assembled team performed well against an already established team and Miles scored twice in the 30-20 defeat.

However, better was to come in the first full international of the season on August 27th. Scotland defeated Ireland in Belfast by 52 – 6 and now look forward to a game in Edinburgh against England.

Miles continues to represent Scottish and has already played academy games against Ealing and Moseley.
