With the 1st XV taking a well earned week off following their heroics against Ealing a week previous, it was over to the Lions and Lions B to fly the London Scottish flag this weekend.
The Lions B won a 65 point thriller against Wasps 2nd XV at home. A win which saw them rise to seventh in Middlesex Merit Division 1 with at least one game in hand on many of their competitors.
Tries from Ollie Boyes, Stephen Keenan and doubles from Harry Churchill and Adam Burkitt saw the Lions home in a cracking local derby.
Sadly it wasn’t to be for Lions A who fell to a 31-15 defeat to fellow high flyers Hitchin. Fergus Chapman, Gavin Speirs and Fabian Thwaites all crossed the whitewash, as the Lions slipped to second place. With a massive game against Chiswick this Saturday it is vital that the side bounces back.
