It was another big weekend of rugby for the London Scottish Lions who had two big away games as they continued they respective campaigns.
Lions A took on Welwyn RFC on the road and picked up a vital 34-10 victory. Tries for Fabian Thwaites, Nick Hill and a brace for Graham Speirs saw the Lions to victory in a crucial game. The result keeps the Lions in the hunt for top spot and just four points behind league leaders Cheshunt.
Lions B, however, couldn’t repeat the trick and fell to a defeat against Twickenham RFC 2nd XV. A 34-22 loss saw the Lions B score four tries going to Johnny Newman, Callum Gibbons, Callum Kilpatrick and Aleks Kostov.
Despite the result, there were plenty of positives to take into the weeks to come. Both sides now have a week off as the first block of games is over and done with. We look forward to see how they get on as the season progresses.
