1st XV Hooker Pete Austin played in another Army v Navy match this weekend at Twickenham Stadium and helped the Army to another win 27 – 11.
Austin, who has made 19 appearances for the Scots in his two seasons with the Club, combines both his work with the Army as well as part-time training with the 1st XV.
The former England age grade player was part of a dominant Army pack that proved too much for the Navy in front of a packed out Twickenham. This was the Army’s 63rd win in the annual game and their 9th consecutive win.
Congratulations are also in order to former player Ifereimi Boladau who was the standout performer showing his brute force from the base of the scrum, something Scottish fans will remember fondly.
Well done to Pete and his Army teammates on a momentous win. Next year’s 103rd Army vs Navy match will be held 2 May 2020 at Twickenham Stadium.
