London Scottish have boosted their front-row options for the 2017/18 season after Phil Cringle extended his contract with the club.

The prop was a regular in the match day squad last season, featuring on 16 occasions after enjoying competition with the likes of Ewan McQuillin and Dan Koroi.

The 23-year-old joined the Scots ahead of the 16/17 campaign from French side US Carcassonne, and will be aiming to cement his place in the number three shirt next season at the Athletic Ground.

Cringle also has 20 caps for Scotland Under 20’s, adding to his impressive rugby CV so far in his career.

The prop is looking forward to another year at the club as they look to improve on their eighth placed finish:

“I’ve enjoyed my first season at the club and feel like it’s the right place for my game to develop”

He added: “There are a lot of changes taking place and it feels like a fresh start for us which gives us all a great deal of excitement.”
