Les Imrie played first for Gala and then for Scottish from the mid-fifties and into the sixties. He was elected as a Vice President of our Club and played his full part behind the scenes after his playing career.
He died two years ago and he left in his will a portion of his estate to London Scottish, expressly for the development of amateur rugby at all levels in the Club.
A true London Scot.
As we remember Les, can we commend to any member who may have the same sentiment, that they use the following form of words in their will –
“A Gift to London Scottish Football Club
I give all / a fixed percentage / a fixed sum of the residue of my estate to the London Scottish Football Club registered under the Cooperative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 Number 28909R, Registered Office Richmond Athletic Ground Kew Foot Road Richmond 2SS, for its general purposes in fostering senior amateur, junior and minis Rugby. I direct that the receipt of the Honorary Treasurer or duly authorised officer shall be a valid and appropriate form of discharge”
