London Scottish can announce that Rory Bartle is the next player from the current squad to have signed a contract for the 16/17 season.
The Welshman has featured in 23 of the 26 matches this season, and can play in either the second-row or back-row, making him a huge asset to the squad.
At just 19 years old Bartle already has an impressive amount of experience, having featured in both Gloucester and Cardiff Blues academies, and he has also represented Wales Under 20s.
The season before joining the Scots was spent studying at Hartpury College, where he also featured heavily for the National One outfit.
Bartle is delighted to be staying in Richmond for another year. “I am chuffed to have re-signed with Scottish, it’s a hugely exciting time for the club and I’ve had a great first season here.”
He continued: “Next season we are hoping to be a lot stronger and I look forward to learning more from the coaches to develop in to a better player.”
Head Coach Peter Richards is also excited by Bartle’s signing. “Rory has been a very consistent player for us this season and has huge potential at just 19 years old.
I have no doubt that London Scottish is the right club for him to improve even more and become a quality player over the next few years.”
