Scots Look to Spread the Festive Cheer against Bedford

As Christmas quickly approaches, London Scottish will be looking to give their supporters a much needed early Christmas present when they take on Bedford Blues tomorrow at the Richmond Athletic Ground.

After two disappointing back to back losses to Jersey Reds in the British and Irish Cup, Director of Rugby Dave Morris and his side will be looking to end 2017 at the Richmond Athletic Ground on a high and with a victory.

Bedford come into the game in 3rd place in the Greene King IPA Championship ladder and have been one of the most dangerous sides, as the Scots found out when they lost 44-26 at Goldington Road earlier in the season.

Dave Morris has made a few changes to the side that lost to the Reds last week at the RAG but the core of the team remains unchanged.

Matt Williams and Charlie Ingall come in on the wings as Mills, Miller, Walker, Appiah and Atkinson all return in the forward pack.

Derrick Appiah and Phil Cringle are the props with Isaac Miller continuing his run of nine straight Greene King IPA Championship appearances at Hooker.

Jonathan Mills returns to the second row after coaching the side for the last two weeks during the B&I Cup and he partners Tjiuee Uanivi. Mills will also captain the side.

James Tyas remains in the back row as Joe Atkinson and Club Captain Chris Walker make up the rest of the forward pack. Canadian Kyle Baillie moves down to the bench.

London Irish Academy starlet Tom Parton continues at full back whilst Matt Williams replaces last week’s double try scorer Joe Luca Smith. Craig Holland also misses out after last week and is replaced by Charlie Ingall.

Ross Neal and Ben Mosses yet again form the centre combination for the eleventh time this season. Alex Walker and Jake Sharp are the half backs.

Ben Onyeama Christie moves down to the bench as well as Kyle Baillie after last week’s loss. Dino Waldren returns from a shoulder injury which has kept him out since his international commitments in the Autumn with the USA. Pete Austin and Ed Milne are the other forwards on the bench. Ed Hoadley and utility back Fraser Lyle will be the backs replacements.
