On New Year’s Eve, Thursday, December 31, 1.30pm kick-off, it will be London Scottish U21 Students against Richmond U21 Students again in our traditional Hogmanay fixture.
This game has been played for many years and started out as an annual game between England Students and Scotland Students.
The two West London clubs continued the Festive tradition with the historic fixture once again taking place on the main pitch at Richmond Athletic Ground this year.
Academy Director and Club Developement Manager, Corné du Rand, said: “This fixture celebrates the great traditions of rugby and many of our students coming back from University for the festive period want a place in the starting line-up.
“They combine with the rest of our U21s and Academy boys to make it a really special occasion and it's a great way for us to continue their association with London Scottish.”
For the last few years this fixture has been dominated by Richmond and last year an exciting game was won at the death by Richmond scoring a great try.
The London Scottish U21 Rampant Lions want to break the drought and will be looking for your support on the day!
The bar will be open and the traditional chicken curry will be available for all supporters on the day!
Come and start your New Year celebrations early!
