Senior Rugby News

04th September 2015

The club is in a great position with four senior amateur teams playing at different levels, from very competitive to an also very social level.

The regular training squad makes up the Highlanders & Claymores teams that play a very good level in Shield 1 & Shield 3 respectively. Both teams are for good senior players that want to be part of the club but still want to play a decent level of rugby however can’t commit to National League teams due to work. But it also allows a development level for our young academy players cutting their teeth in senior rugby.
The club have recently appointed London Scottish ex-professional, Ross Doneghan, as the lead coach for the Highlanders and senior group and we are looking forward to another good season ahead!
The more social squad is made up of the proud Extra B’s team as well as The Kilts team playing in MMT3 and MMT2 respectively. The social environment created by this group is fantastic and if you are looking for some good games and good times this is where you should enjoy your rugby at the club.
