The Club were today informed of the funeral arrangements for Sir Thomas Macpherson CBE MC TD DL who passed away last Thursday aged 94.

A service will take place in the local church in Newtonmore on Friday, November 14 at 11am.

There will be a Memorial Service in London in the New Year (times and dates to be confirmed).

A minute's silence will also be observed before London Scottish's home clash with Jersey this Friday, November 14, 7.45pm kick-off.

Sir Thomas is one of the most decorated soldiers of World War Two and was inducted into the London Scottish Hall of Fame back in February of this year.

He was a regular player at fly-half for London Scottish from 1946 to 1955.
