We are delighted to announce that HRH The Princess Royal, Royal Patron of London Scottish FC, will be attending this year’s St Andrew’s Day at The Savoy lunch, sponsored by Glengoyne Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky in association with London Scottish rugby club.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming Her Royal Highness to The Savoy on Friday 27th November 2015. Now in its third year, the event has rapidly established itself as the best and most enjoyable way for Scots in London and their friends to celebrate St Andrew’s Day.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        
What’s it all about?
 

• A fantastic afternoon of dining, music and entertainment at the world class Savoy hotel on the Strand                
• On arrival, a Nyetimber Reception in the beautiful River Room followed by lunch in the Lancaster Ballroom                
• Superb musical entertainment from the Aberdeen University Choir conducted by Paul Mealor, Fiona Kennedy Clark, OBE and The Clan                  
• Guest speaker is Professor David Purdie, Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh; Editor-in-Chief of the 4th Edition of The Burns Encyclopaedia                  
• This year the lunch is in aid of The University of Aberdeen Spinal Injury Research and London Scottish rugby club        
• The UK’s No. 1 auctioneer Jonny Gould, Comedian and Broadcaster  
• In the last two years we have raised £57,500 in total for three charities and we hope to raise a lot again this year

• The Great London Scot Award for Outstanding Achievement:Martin Gilbert(Co-founder and Chief Executive of Aberdeen Asset Management)
• The Great London Scot Award for Outstanding Young Talent: David Smith, MBE (London 2012 Gold Medal Winning Paralympian and Double World Champion)        

In addition, we are delighted to announce that Hannah Miley, London 2012 Olympic finalist and reigning European and Commonwealth 400m individual medley champion will be receiving The Great London Scot Award for Outstanding Young Talent
