An update from Ian Hannah, Chairman of Minis Rugby.
Thank you to everyone who turned up at St Margaret’s fair last weekend. It was great to have so many volunteers helping with the stand and letting the kids (and others) have fun with the speed cage. We hope you had a great time and enjoyed the day.
The next event is the Rugby Summer Camp from 19th – 21st August. It’s not that far away now, so it’s worth calling the office or emailing Ross at firstname.lastname@example.org to make sure of your place on the camp.
After that we have the start of the season with a couple of big events for the diary:
• 14th September – Championship double header when the 1sts taking on newly promoted Ealing Trailfinders at Allianz Park. We have been invited to form the guard of honour and it will be a great opportunity for the kids to be part of the action, as well as a chance for the parents to watch the game. More details nearer the time, but let me know if you are interested.
• 15th September – the club barbeque. A chance to meet the players and families from all levels in the club, catch up with old friends, and also for the parents and players to continue where they left off at last season picnic and play some touch rugby for fun.
Don’t forget, the minis tour next year is planned for the week after Easter (25th-27th April) with a trip to the Isle of Wight minis festival. If you have any questions send them through and we’ll come back to you with the answers.
Enjoy the summer holidays.
