The U18s played in the National Colts Cup v Tring RFC on Sunday 23rd September losing 39-12 in what was a difficult day from the start losing some players.
Despite lack of cohesion in the game, there were some great phases of play but Scottish struggled to keep to the game plan and once the opposition got a couple of lucky tries in the second half, including a well crafted counter attack by the opposition fly half with an onside crossfield kick to the left wing bouncing into their wingers hands who only had to carry it over the line to score, the game was slipping away. Scottish never gave up and continued to pressure, but Tring upped their game running in tries and the game was lost 39-12.
With new lead coach, Will Bayliss-Brown, in charge for his first game after only two sessions with the team, we can look forward to see the U18s grow into a strong unit sooner than later!
