Chris Auld admits there was a huge amount of frustration in the London Scottish dressing room after a narrow 17-25 defeat to Pontypridd in the British and Irish Cup yesterday.
Scottish held a 17-15 lead with 12 minutes to go but slipped to defeat in their final B&I Cup match of the season.
The 21-year-old said: “We’re all disappointed and we’re going to have to do a few things in training this week to right the wrongs of yesterday.
“Pontypridd are a good side and they came here with great support and got the win that they wanted but it felt like a game that we could have definitely won.”
The Edinburgh loanee scored his first try for the club on Saturday, showing neat footwork to go in under the posts.
Whilst delighted to get the score, Auld is now fully focused on next Saturday's clash at home to Worcester Warriors.
“It’s always nice to get a try but it’s all about winning and we didn’t do that on Saturday.
“In the last three weeks we’ve been working hard with the aim to beat Worcester.
“We’ve prepared well for it and will hopefully come away with a big win against a quality team.”
The centre, who arrived on loan from Edinburgh in October, added: “Being down here is a really good experience for me, it’s a great club with a top set of boys and impressive facilities. I’m enjoying it very much.”
