NEW SIGNING! Welbeck sign as Official Finance Partner of London Scottish
Welbeck Group have signed a 12 month sponsorship deal with National 1 Rugby club, London Scottish. The Sponsorship deal will see Welbeck Group become The Official Finance Partner of London Scottish offering players, members and supporters specialist financial advice.
Welbeck Group was formed in 2001 by Managing Partner and former London Scottish player, Greg Knight. The company has successfully grown over the past 8 years and can now boast an annual turnover of £12million, with 90 highly qualified financial advisors including current player and former Scottish International Iain Fullarton (pictured), former head Coach Jim Kelly and Toby Walker. The growth has coincided with the renaissance of London Scottish fortunes and climb back through the leagues.
The sponsorship will see Welbeck provide specialist financial advice and services to all London Scottish players and supporters through a range of advertising, seminars and hospitality promotions, along with a financial package to help London Scottish achieve their goal of being promoted back to the top tier of league rugby. Welbeck will also display their logo on the back of the playing jerseys.
On signing the deal, Greg Knight, Managing Partner of Welbeck Group commented, “As a former player it is good to give something back and help the club regain the level of play it had traditionally always enjoyed, but more importantly to achieve our goals together. The financial service sector and Rugby have always had a close affiliation and I hope that, through this sponsorship Welbeck will be able to help as many London Scots as possible receive sound financial advice.
