This weekend London Scottish hosted six of Scotland’s 1990 Grand Slam winning side at a great pre match hospitality lunch before the Nottingham fixture.

Although the game on the field did not quite go the way of Scottish, celebrations were had in the Members Bar beforehand.
 
It was a great family event with beer and wine flowing and some fantastic food being served, all supporters were definitely fuelled and ready for the afternoon’s rugby.
 
Gavin Hastings, amongst others spoke at the lunch and was recounting from his days with his fellow 1990 Grand Slam winners.
 

Presidetn Paul Burnell, who was celebrating his first term as London Scottish president, kindly donated his match jersey from that monumental day, which was auctioned off and then kindly given back to the club by one of our sponors, Cairnhill, who had won the bidding.
 
All in all the afternoon lunch function was a great success with everyone leaving the Members Bar very content and despite the result not going the way of the Scots, people were still left with happy memories of the day.
 
Gavin Hastings will be back hosting the lunch before our game against Doncaster in two weeks time (30th September), be sure you don't miss out!
