Academy Update

07th March 2014
admin

The Young Lions represented London Scottish in the 2014 Deutsche Bank Schools Six Nations tournament last weekend.

The squad, mainly comprising U17 players, were in a strong group of schools including Fettes College from Scotland, eventual winners The Campion School and Lycée Comte de Foix of Andorra.

Despite London Scottish’s Royal Patron HRH Princess Anne watching on, the boys failed to qualify for Round Two of the Cup.

In the Plate competition on day two, the Young Lions recorded a big win over Lycée Comte de Foix but lost against Downside School (2014 Plate winners) and St Pauls in extremely tight affairs.

The majority of the squad will be eligible to compete in next year’s tournament and will target the knock-out stages of the Cup competition.
