London Scottish can today confirm that Ally Miller has signed a contract with Edinburgh Rugby for the next two seasons.
The back-row forward joined as part of the Performance Partnership with the Scottish Rugby Union last summer, and has featured impressively on 15 occasions this season for the Scots.
The 20-year-old has recently been rewarded for his good form by receiving a call-up to the Scotland Sevens squad where he played in Las Vegas and Vancouver, and will also be involved in the Hong Kong and Singapore legs of the tour.
Miller scored against Canada, Kenya, France and Japan to make an impressive mark, helping them sit eighth in the overall standings heading in to this weekend’s Hong Kong tournament.
He has represented Scotland at age grade level from Under 16s to Under 20s, as well as featuring for Edinburgh’s Under 20 side before heading down to the Richmond Athletic Ground.
Miller was thankful to London Scottish for providing the platform ahead of an exciting move back to the Pro 12 side.
“London Scottish have helped me massively this season and I have had great fun at the club. The step up in physicality in the Championship was a good test for me and I enjoyed the running style of play.”
He added: “I’ve learnt a lot from the players and coaches, and have really enjoyed my time in London.”
London Scottish would like to wish Ally all the best for the future.
