The Owner of Tunnocks, Boyd Tunnock, has received a knighthood in the 2019 Queens Birthday Honours List.
Sir Boyd was recognised for his services to business and charity.
The 86 year old owner of Tunnocks was said to be very surpised at his award, “when you get to my age, very few things surprise you but this certainly did and I am deeply honoured and grateful to Her Majesty the Queen.”
Tunnocks have sponsored London Scottish for many years and have been one of the most dedicated and loyal sponsors of the Club and everyone at London Scottish is very proud of Sir Boyd’s achievement and it is thoroughly deserved. The Club would like to pass on its congratulations to Sir Boyd.
Tunnocks are a Scottish company based in Uddingston just outside Glasgow, who are famous for their confectionary goods including the Tunnocks teacake, snowball and caramel wafer.
