Buckland Expects Champ XV Players To Thrive

30th October 2014
admin

London Scottish head coach James Buckland feels this Sunday’s Championship XV clash against Canada at Sixways, 3.15pm kick-off, is the perfect way to showcase England’s second tier.

The Championship XV concept will be reignited on Sunday following its 2012 success against the Maori All Blacks.

The best English-qualified XV from across the league will face Canada in the showpiece game and London Scottish have four players proudly representing the club – Mark Bright, Miles Mantella, James Phillips and Max Maidment.

Buckland said: “The boys are very much looking forward to it and deserve this opportunity. It’s a big occasion.

“The Championship coaches have put together a strong squad and I think the more the league can stage these kind of games the better.

“The game raises the profile not only of the fantastic players we have but also of the Greene King IPA Championship as a competition.

“We fully support the concept as a club and hope they do well against Canada on Sunday.”

To mark the Championship XV coming together, supporters can now claim their ticket to Sixways for just £7.50 with this fire sale ending this evening (Thursday) at 5pm.
