The Claymores got themselves in to the play-offs in the MMT1 league winning convincingly against HAC in a mid-week game on the 18th of March at the Athletic Ground.

The final score of 48-17 set up a semi-final away against the same HAC team on Saturday the 29th of March at Barn Elms Sports Ground.

With confidence high but a slightly depleted team due to unavailability and injuries, the Claymores were trailing late in the game and fought back with a couple of good tries, but it was left too late and they eventually lost 31-20.

HAC played well for their win and will advance to the final on the 12th of March at Twyford Avenue to play OP Saints after they beat the favourites to win the league, Ruislip, in the other semi-final.

The Highlanders had a couple of weeks off and will play their final league game against Richmond on Saturday, April 12th, 2pm kick-off.

They were hoping to record a first win over a strong Richmond Saxons team in Shield 2 this season in the third and final outing between the two sides.

The Rampant Lions played away against neighbours Grasshoppers’ 1st XV on March 29th after the trip up to Moseley Development was cancelled as they had to play in a Cup game.

The young team took to the task on a beautiful day and showed some class to put Grasshoppers away 47-15.

It proved to be a good confidence booster for the squad to go up to Bedford Blues Academy U19 a week just missing out narrowly losing 34-32.
