London Scottish head down to the Mennaye Field to take on Cornish Pirates in the final round of the Championship Cup on Saturday, kick off 2pm.

The Scots, who are already guaranteed a quarter final spot in the competition, must secure a win to be in with a chance of securing a home draw after a disappointing defeat away to Nottingham at the weekend.

Last time the Exiles played Cornish Pirates was in a League match at the end of last month at the Athletic Ground. Scottish claimed a memorable win 25-24.

The two sides also faced each other in their first match of the season in a Cup fixture, Scottish victorious that day 24-20.

Scottish last visited Penzance at the end of last year for a Greene King IPA Championship fixture. Pirates came away with a bonus point win 27-0.

In the reverse fixture three months later, it was the Scots that came out on top 26-22. Both teams claiming bonus points.

Cornish Pirates currently sit below us in Pool 3 having picked up wins away against Yorkshire Carnegie and Nottingham, a loss at home to the Green and Whites two weeks ago and then they picked up a comfortable win against Yorkshire Carnegie last time out 54-5.

The Exiles haven’t won away against Pirates since September 2014, when they claimed a 30-19 victory, Mark Bright scored that day. That season the Londoners finished third in the Greene King IPA Championship table.
