Dalziel hails ‘controlled performance’ as Scots build towards B&I Cup

Forwards Coach John Dalziel was delighted with his players after the 28-12 victory over Ealing Trailfinders.

The Scots were good value for their win despite a fiery match which featured four yellow cards, but were helped by a 100% kicking record from man-of-the-match Peter Lydon with seven penalties and a conversion, as well as a try from Jason Harries.

Dalziel was full of praise for the squad, after a huge effort secured a second consecutive victory.

“They stuck to the game plan brilliantly and it was an outstanding team performance. There's been a great attitude in recent weeks and this two weeks coming up will be a defining fortnight for us in the B&I Cup.”

Scottish now turn their focus to the British and Irish Cup when they host Jersey Reds on Saturday at the Athletic Ground.

Tickets are still available, as well as hospitality places for our christmas lunch, which can be purchased by clicking here.
