London Scottish have secured the services of Ed Hoadley for the 2017/18 season after the scrum-half signed a contract extension.

The 23-year-old featured on 16 occasions last season and saw his form improve dramatically throughout the campaign with increased game time.

Hoadley enjoyed competing with the likes of Jamie Stevenson and Hugh Fraser for the number nine shirt, and will look to consolidate his place in the match day squad for the 17/18 season after agreeing to remain at the Athletic Ground for another year.

The Englishman already had spells with London Welsh and London Irish but flourished with the Scots as increased opportunities allowed him to turn in to a regular in the Scottish line-up.

Highlights of his campaign included crossing the try-line against Rotherham Titans on New Year’s Day, which set the Scots on their way to a bonus-point victory.

Hoadley is excited to be staying with the Scots for another year as he looks to continue his development:

“I’m pleased to have signed on for another season and really enjoyed my first year at the club. It’s an exciting time for London Scottish and I’m looking forward to being a part of it.”
