London Scottish can today confirm that flanker Tommy Spinks has joined Glasgow Warriors as part of the Scottish Rugby Union’s Elite Development Programme.

The 20-year-old signed for London Scottish straight out of Fettes College school and made nine first team appearances during two seasons at the Club.

Spinks has played for Scotland Under-20s at the last two IRB Junior World Championships, captaining his country at this month’s tournament in New Zealand.

Head coach James Buckland said: “I think Tommy’s exposure as part of the Scotland under-20s set-up this year has been great for him.

“He will get good support up in Scotland on the Elite Development Programme and I think he will do well.

“Tommy was a very popular member of our squad and we wish him all the best.”
