Bristol Rugby rose to the Championship's summit after emerging triumphant from a breathless 89-point thriller with second-place Yorkshire Carnegie on Sunday – and they'll look to keep up their momentum at Cornish Pirates.
Bristol held on in the face of a late Carnegie onslaught to win 47-42, which ensured that their only loss this season remains their opening-round defeat to Bedford Blues.
However the Pirates are no pushovers at The Mennaye, having recorded their two wins in the Championship so far this season at home – beating Nottingham and London Scottish.
Josh Bainbridge became the first player to score five tries in a game for Yorkshire Carnegie in more than a decade but Bryan Redpath's troops must rediscover their winning touch when they entertain Moseley.
And though Moseley may be in down in tenth, they secured a crucial win down at the bottom against Ealing Trailfinders last weekend and can boast the highest points scorer in the Championship this year in Glyn Hughes – the fly half is joint top with Bristol's Gavin Henson.
But Nottingham have the Championship's leading try scorer after Paul Grant racked up his eighth and ninth efforts this season in their tense victory over Scottish.
And the rejuvenated Green & Whites, who are now up to eighth in the table, will compete for their third consecutive win under the Friday night lights at Jersey.
Though Jersey were undone by 14-8 against London Welsh on Saturday, Harvey Biljon and company are in good form after toppling Bedford Blues and Moseley in the two weeks prior.
London Welsh may have returned to form at home but they will now be seeking to make amends for their disappointing run of results on their travels.
Successive away defeats to London Scottish and Nottingham had brought their top-four charge to a halt – and a victory at Rotherham Titans never comes easy.
The Titans have won three of four games in front of their own fans this season – their sole loss coming against Carnegie.
But last weekend they conceded 46 points in defeat to Bedford Blues, who will look to record their first away victory in four games at Ealing Trailfinders.
The result put Bedford back in the top four and they'll be confident up against an Ealing side that have won just once, at home to Cornish Pirates last month, since their return to the Championship.
But Bedford are unlikely to have it all their own way as Ealing Trailfinders have already picked up four bonus points this year, which has kept them in touch with the rest of the league.
