Highlanders Defeat In Middlesex Bowl Semi Final

The London Scottish Highlanders were defeated in the Middlesex Bowl semi finals, losing 29-17 to Grasshoppers.

After trailing 19-0 at the break, the Highlanders made amends in the second half, scoring 17 points but a countless streams of penalties gave Grasshoppers the opportunity to extend their lead time and time again.

With the score at 22-17, the game was poised for an entertaining finish. However, after a few opportunities, Scottish could not finish and eventually Grasshoppers added an end of the game try through keeping the ball through a few phases.

With the win, the Grasshoppers go through to the final against HAC, who won their game against the Ealing Amateurs. It was a game of two halves for the Highlanders but an experience that most of the players can take with them to the next semi-final they will play in.

The tries were scored by by James Parker (hooker) and a brace by Cameron Leigh (tight head prop), with two conversions from Will Alkin.
