HRH Princess Anne and Lord Coe open Deutsche Bank Schools Six Nations.

HRH Princess Anne, the Royal Patron of London Scottish, and Lord Coe, British Olympic Association chairman, today (Friday), officially opened the fourth annual Deutsche Bank Schools Six Nations tournament at Richmond Athletic Ground.

The invitation-only tournament hosted by London Scottish and title sponsor Deutsche Bank, aims to showcase some of the best emerging rugby talent from schools across Europe.

The competition takes place over two days with the Plate and Cup final on Saturday afternoon.

HRH Princess Anne and Lord Coe took time to speak to the players before the tournament kicked off and were introduced to the coaches and captains of all eight participating teams during today’s opening ceremony.

The sun greeted players a short while ago as the rugby got under way.

The defending champions this year are St Paul's School, England.
