Irishman Relishing ‘Scottish Derby’

28th August 2014

London Scottish’s Irish international Neil Best says this Saturday’s glamour friendly against Glasgow Warriors will feel like a local derby.

The Exiles take on last season's PRO12 finalists at the Athletic Ground, 3pm kick-off, before hosting Rotherham Titans next weekend, Saturday September 6, in their Greene King IPA Championship opener.

Best, who is in the starting XV for this weekend's encounter, says the whole squad are excited at taking on Glasgow Warriors and are determined to put on a show.

The flanker said: “It's going to be great for all our fans, the Board and Club members to see us up against one of the best sides in the country.

“With us being a Scottish team that plays in England it will feel a bit like a derby, so we know it's important to perform well against a great side.

“We want to win which would give us a massive confidence boost ahead of the Rotherham match. We will rise to the challenge.”

Tickets and hospitality for Saturday's game can be purchased online here or by calling the Commercial team on 020 3397 9551.

All London Scottish members can get in for free whilst Exile, Life & Clan members can upgrade their tickets and sit in the stand for just £10.

Non-members can watch this clash for just £5 (ground pass) with Highlander stand tickets (outer wing of stand) £10 and 1878 stand tickets (centre stand), £15.

Under-16s, as always, get in for free (Clan, ground pass).
