We are pleased to announce that Joe Atkinson has signed a contract extension to remain with London Scottish for the 2017/18 season.

The flanker was a key component of the squad during the 16/17 campaign, featuring in 24 matches  and scoring six times in the process.

Missing just four matches all season, Atkinson enjoyed a consistent year at open side flanker after joining from Cornish Pirates last summer. 

The 25-year-old formed an impressive back-row partnership with Danny Kenny who has also re-signed with the club. Atkinson will also be re-united with new Director of Rugby Dave Morris, the pair worked together previously during their time at Loughborough. 

Atkinson is delighted to have put pen to paper, committing to another year at the Athletic Ground.

“I'm very pleased to have re-signed for another year at London Scottish. With lots of change happening at the club it is an exciting time to be involved with the team.”

He added: “I’m looking forward to working again with Dave who coached my Loughborough students team to promotion into National League 1.”
