It is with regret that we have to announce the death of John Scott, fellow supporter, life member, Vice President and Club Sponsor of London Scottish.
John was a huge character at the Club, loved by all. He played for the Club some 50 years ago and since then been a pivotal member of the Clan by supporting the Club through sponsorship, his company being GLH – Greater London Hire.
Better known as “Tiger” for his golfing abilities by fellow members, John was a lover of both golf and rugby; an avid supporter of Scottish he was at the Barking game and subsequently became unwell whilst entertaining fellow supporters at dinner that evening. Our thoughts are with his family and employees of GLH as they all operated as part of his wider family base in London.
Funeral arrangements are as follows:
The funeral will take place on Friday 3rd June 2011 at 14.00. The service will take place at St. Jude's Church, Central Square, London NW11.
There will also be a private family service at the crematorium after the church.
Family flowers only. Donations are to be made to the Intensive Treatment Ward at The Royal Free Hospital, whose staff cared so marvellously for John in his final hours.
An announcement will be made in The Daily Telegraph and The Scotsman newspapers.
