A couple of weeks ago, 1st XV flanker Lewis Wynne was awarded the Young London Scottish Player of the Season for the 2018/19 season.
At the Friends of Scottish Rugby Dinner at the glorious Caledonian Club Lewis scooped the award after his impressive performances this season. He follows on from last year’s winner, Isaac Miller.
Wynne arrived last summer on a season long loan from Glasgow Warriors and has been one of the Scots standout performers this season. His form was so good that he was recalled by the SRU to play for Edinburgh in the Pro14 competition during the Autumn Internationals. Wynne will be staying at the RAG next year after he signed a deal for the 2019/20 season.
The back rower was awarded the Sir Tommy McPherson Quaich by Lady McPherson, the widow of Tommy (pictured below).
