The London Scottish Lions 1st XV cemented their place at the top of the Regional 2 (Thames) League on Saturday with a resounding win away at Hazelwood, Sunbury against a resolute London Irish Wild Geese side played in glorious sunshine. The Wild Geese were determined to put on a great show, starting with the pre-match hospitality with 140 in attendance, including the local MP for Spelthorne, Lincoln Jopp and the Irish Ambassador to the UK, Martin Fraser.

For the Wild Geese, it wasn’t to be their day, with the Lions in fine form, bagging their try bonus point just before half-time.
