Liquid lunch? Rugby? Come to Scotland this weekend!

11th August 2010
admin

Simon Amor and his men head to Scotland this weekend to take on last season’s two top semi-professional sides – Currie and Ayr respectively.

With a number of new places pulling on the famous blue jersey for the first time, the two matches, on the Friday night at Currie and Saturday afternoon at Ayr, will provide valuable early season game time for a squad looking to really make an impact in National One this year.

As such, the Club warmly invites all of its fans – both those travelling from London, and those based north of the border – to come along to a liquid lunch before the game on Friday, kindly organised by David Quate.

It will be held at the Mercat Bar in West Maitland Street (in the Haymarket) from 2pm, so please pop in if you are around the Edinburgh area. Any Currie fans wishing to come along are more than welcome to do so, making it an all-round good day out for both sets of fans.

Looking further ahead, the Club is running a 17-seater minibus from Richmond, to Loughborough, for the friendly match with the Students on Saturday, 28th August. It is the final chance for the players to impress Simon and his coaching staff, before the league action commences on the 4th September, with a home engagement against near rivals Blackheath.
