London Scottish are today announcing the departure of back rower Willie Lipp.

The back rower has spent four seasons at the club and played a key role in helping the team earn back to back promotions from National Division 3 South all the way to the Championship.

Lipp joined Scottish in 2008, having previously represented Ellon RFC, Watsonians and London Wasps Academy. He made 78 appearances for the club, scoring 15 tries and has represented Scotland at U18, U19 and U20 level.

Director of Rugby Simon Amor: 'Willie has been a fantastic servant to London Scottish for over four years, particularly playing a key role in our back to back promotion years. It is always sad to see a player leave London Scottish but we respect and support Willie's decision to move on to the next stage of his life.

“Willie leaves with our very best wishes and on behalf of the playing side I would like to thank him for all that he has brought to the team.”

CEO Tony Copsey: “Willie has given four excellent years to London Scottish and he leaves with our utmost respect and very best wishes. Willie was a great character on and off the pitch and a real crowd favourite. We thank him for his dedication and hard work during his time at London Scottish.”
