London Scottish Name Strong Side for Caldy Trip

03rd November 2023
admin

London Scottish have named a strong team to face North-West side Caldy. Bryan Redpath and Joe Gray have made six changes to the starting fifteen that took on Cornish Pirates a fortnight ago. With a weekend off to rest London Scottish come into this game refreshed and well prepared for what is going to be a big challenge.

At fly half, Conor Slevin makes his first appearance for the Exiles this season after impressing in the Premiership Cup for Harlequins. He will be partnered by Lewis Gjaltema at scrum half who is promoted from the bench to make his first start of the year.

It’s all change in the centres as Hayden Hyde and Will Simonds come into start as they look to make an impact on this Championship season. Cam Anderson moves to fullback with Will Talbot-Davies moving to the wing.

In the forwards, Tom Osborne and Will Hobson are in line to make their first Championship appearance of the season off the bench with George Cave and Ashley Challenger taking up the starting berths. Jack Musk returns at hooker with Quins pairing Harry Browne and Johnny Green in the second row.

The back row remains unchanged with Will Trenholm flanked by Ioan Rhys Davies and captain Bailey Ransom.
