Our first training session on Sunday 2nd September was a chance to shake off the cobwebs for existing team members and welcome some new faces.
The following weekend's joint training and friendly match session with London Welsh gave everyone in the squad a game as we enjoyed a rolling set of matches using all subs. This was a useful sharpening up session getting all squad members in shape for appearances at the two matches due at the end of the month.
If you fancy joining us there is always room for a new member at whichever experience level.
Our standard timing is Sundays at 12:00 running through to 14:00. This time slot will apply to both friendlies and formal league fixtures at home.
Throughout September the team is open to new joiners who want to try out London Scottish rugby. New joiners can delay formally signing up until the end of the month and try us out for those couple of weeks. A special offer kit package is also available in that month. A full strip (excl. boots ! ) for £50.

2012/13 League fixtures
Similar to our last season where we found ourselves playing a mixture of formal Shield games and friendlies, next season will be a mixture of official league games and friendlies. These league fixtures present the same challenge that we faced with the Shield competition so we have every confidence in the continuing London Scottish squad. I have set out the league dates below so you can mark your diaries. More details will follow on the travel arrangements that might apply.
30th September Saracens B
14 October Ealing B
25 November Royston
9 December Tring B
13 January Bishops Stortford
3 February Teddington B
24 March Old Albanians B
The number of clubs that have approached us for friendlies from around the south east anticipates a full programme for 2012/13. We set great store by these often challenging matches to ensure the full involvement of all our squad members. Our principle remains “everyone gets a game”.
