London Scottish welcome high-flying Bedford Blues to the Richmond Athletic Ground as Championship rugby returns in 2013.

Following the hugely impressive performance that earned a losing bonus point from their trip to league leaders Newcastle on December 23rd, Scottish head into the New Year with confidence but will face a tough test against second placed Bedford.

Mike Rayer’s side are the league’s second highest points scorers and are currently 17 points behind runaway leaders Newcastle and four points clear of 3rd placed Nottingham.

The two sides met earlier in the season at Goldington Road, with the Blues coming out on top in a 55-20 win. Mark Bright scored and Chevvy Pennycook grabbed a brace to give Scottish brief hope but a dominant second half from the hosts saw them ease to victory.
