Ewan McQuillin has become the latest player to extend his contract with London Scottish for the 2017/18 season.
The tight-head prop played a major part in the 16/17 campaign, with his main asset being his strong scrummaging which gave the Scots plenty of front-foot ball alongside the likes of Grant Shiells, Jonny Harris and David Cherry in the front-row.
McQuillin joined initially on trial and made his debut against Saracens in the pre-season friendly, but went on to make 16 appearances and scored two tries in the process.
The 25-year-old signed from Edinburgh Rugby, and he had also previously represented Gala and Melrose. His performances were of a high enough level for him to be loaned back to Edinburgh to start their Pro 12 match against Benetton Treviso at BT Murrayfield back in October.
After a successful first season at the club, McQuillin is thrilled to have extended his contract with the Scots.
“I’m delighted to be staying at London Scottish and very excited about the new challenge so I’m looking forward to getting the new season underway.”
