London Scottish is delighted to announce the appointment of new attack coach Pierre Clark. Following the departure of Gerard Mullen who takes on a more senior role at Harlequins, Pierre will look to build on the foundations set in London Scottish’s attack.

Pierre has over a decade’s experience coaching having held roles at Saracens, London Irish and in the Harlequins set up. Prior to this Pierre was an accomplished player, plying his trade in France for a period of time as well as in the higher levels of the game in England.

Pierre was quick to point out his excitement for joining London Scottish “‘it was a huge honour to be considered for the role and the opportunity to join a Club with the prestige and the history that London Scottish has for me was a no brainer.”

Speaking on his first few weeks at the Club, Pierre noted what a seamless transition it’s been, “everyone has been so welcoming, from the players and the staff and everyone I have met around, so it’s made the transition really easy.”

When asked about the prospects of the squad Pierre said “we’ve got a young, skillful group here so I’m really excited about starting the the campaign and seeing what we can achieve.”

Looking into the season Pierre has set his sights high, “some of the rugby at the back end of last season was outstanding, the team scored seventeen bonus points which was the second highest in the league.” Pierre wants to continue this attacking prowess under his stewardship, paying tribute to his predecessor, Gerard Mullen

However, he notes there are areas to grow, “I think we need to consider those losing bonus points, we lost five games on the bounce around January time by just three points. So I think if we can tidy up certain moments around game management we are going to be in a much better position.”
