London Scottish backs coach Peter Richards has refused to read into Bedford Blues’ early season form ahead of Saturday’s Battle of The Blues at Richmond Athletic Ground, 3pm kick-off.
Bedford currently prop up the Greene King IPA Championship table whilst the Scots are the early pacesetters at the top.
However Richards has warned his charges to expect a physical backlash from the Goldington Road outfit this weekend.
The former England World Cup star said: “Bedford will come down looking to upset us and we have got to be ready for a physical encounter.
“They were on the end of a backlash from Rotherham's loss here and I expect us to get a reaction from Bedford.
“They probably didn't show up as physically as they would have liked last week. That doesn't happen very often two weeks in a row.
“I saw the game last year against Bedford and they are a very physical team. We only won the game narrowly in the last five minutes.
“But we are in a good position after two good wins and we will look to attack Bedford and score tries.”
London Scottish make three changes to the side which beat Cornish Pirates last weekend.
Dan Newton returns at stand-off with Harlequins dual-registered lock Sam Twomey replacing the injured James Phillips.
In the front row, prop Max Maidment will make his first competitive start for London Scottish coming in for Ben Prescott.
