London Scottish is pleased to announce that former England internationalists Phil Greening and Tim Payne have joined the First Team coaching set-up ahead of Saturday’s vital away match at Bedford Blues.
Both will take charge of the forwards with Greening concentrating on line-out and defensive strategy and former prop Payne taking the lead in the scrum.
Capped 24-times by England, former British & Irish Lion and Grand Slam winner Phil Greening has a wealth of rugby experience having worked under coaches including Sir Clive Woodward, John Mitchell, Warren Gatland and Shaun Edwards.
He played for Wasps during a very successful period for the club winning back-to- back Premiership titles and a European and Premiership double.
Tim Payne is another former British & Irish Lion who won 22-caps for England having spent the majority of his playing career at Wasps winning three Premiership titles, two Heineken Cup crowns and the Powergen Cup.
Since retiring in 2013 Payne has been coaching at Premiership Academy level whilst developing his coaching career at grassroots level and at Wimbledon RFC.
Greening and Payne will work alongside current London Scottish backs and attack coach Peter Richards and Director of Rugby Mike Friday.
