Record Breaking Captain Mark Bright Issues Rallying Cry Ahead of Historic Clash.

30th April 2015
admin

London Scottish skipper Mark Bright believes a large and vocal home support could be the difference between his side winning and losing on Saturday when the Scots take on Worcester Warriors at Richmond Athletic Ground in their historic Greene King IPA Championship play-off semi-final, first leg clash, 1.45pm kick-off.

The number eight, who this season has smashed the all-time Championship try scoring record for a single season, scoring an astonishing 24 tries, wants as many fans as possible to turn up on Saturday and act as his team's 16th man!

Bright, who is sponsored by Aberdeen Asset Management, said: “We have been really strong at home this season and a lot of our success has undoubtedly been down to the home support we get.

“They helped us over the line against Nottingham which secured our place in the top four and we need another huge push from them this Saturday!

“I would urge ALL our loyal supporters to come down on Saturday and help us produce a season's best performance which is what we will need to beat an excellent Warriors side.”

He added: “With Edinburgh Rugby playing their Challenge Cup final on Friday night at The Stoop, the possibility of having several hundred fans from across the border also cheering us on the next day is something the players have talked about.

“Hopefully, together, as one, passionate Scottish rugby fans can shout from the rafters on Saturday and help us get over that winning line.”
