Joint top try scorer this season Rob Stevenson has agreed to stay with the Club for the 19/20 season.
The powerful winger, who signed for the Exiles two summers ago once he had graduated from Durham University with a politics degree, will stay at Scottish for his third season.
Stevenson has had a breakout season this year after struggling in his first season after picking up a quad injury which kept him on the sidelines for most of the season.
The Old Sedberghian has been a key feature for Scottish this year, when he plays well usually the team will be successful. He has played 17 times year scoring 10 tries, including a fine solo effort at Goldington Road against Bedford Blues. Stevenson is still in the mix to be crowned top try scorer this season for the Greene King IPA Championship.
The speedster was looking forward to building on his promising year next season.
“I’m pleased to be staying at Scottish for another year and continue my development as a player here. It’s really exciting to be playing as part of a group of young players who have come through the ranks together. The club has also been very supportive of my personal aspirations and development outside of rugby.”
Director of Rugby Dave Morris was happy that Rob would be continuing his time with Scottish.
“Rob is a physical specimen, he works incredibly hard and one of the most physically gifted players in our squad. He has played very well this season and we are excited to hopefully see him build on a good season and what he can produce next season.”
