We are pleased to reveal the signing of Ross Neal from London Irish for the 2017/18 season.

The exciting centre featured for the Scots on a number of occasions last year on a dual registration deal, and impressed in the number twelve shirt when called upon.

The 21-year-old adds significant strength to the midfield, standing at 6ft 5” his size will provide the Scots with plenty of front-foot ball.

Neal joined the London Irish academy back in 2014, spending three years training at Hazelwood whilst also featuring for Esher Rugby to gain valuable game-time.

He scored an impressive long-range try for the Scots against Cornish Pirates back in February, and the supporters will be hoping to see more of the same when he joins up with the squad for the new campaign.

Neal is thrilled to be heading to the RAG on a permanent basis:

“I am very excited to be joining London Scottish this season, I spent a brief period this year on loan with the club and the team are very welcoming. They play a great style of rugby so I'm really looking forward to starting a new chapter at the Athletic Ground.”

Director of Rugby Dave Morris is pleased to add considerable quality to the back-line.

“Ross came on loan for a short period from London Irish last season and from speaking to the players was highly regarded both as a player and a person. He is big and athletic with very good distribution skills. He is very versatile being able to play in the centre and on the wing. I believe he is an excellent addition to our squad.”
