London Scottish have named their starting line-up for the season opener against Moseley tomorrow evening at the Athletic Ground.
The side has a familiar look to it from the historic achievement of the 2014/15 season, where the Scots made the semi-finals for the first time, with the addition of some new signings who will make their debuts for the club.
James Gibbons joins Adam Kwasnicki and Max Maidment in the front-row, and will be with London Scottish on a season-long loan from Gloucester.
Josh Thomas Brown is partnered by new arrival Will Carrick Smith in the second-row, who signed from Exeter Chiefs.
Rory Bartle will start alongside Chris Walker and Mark Bright in the back-row. Andrew Turner, Drew Locke, Jason Harries and Craig Jackson will start in a new-look back-line, with the experienced London Scots Matt Heeks, Dan Newton and Oli Grove also in the starting line-up.
Last season regulars David Cherry, Chevvy Pennycook and Pete Lydon will look to make an impact from the bench, with new signings Jack Cosgrove, Jimmy Litchfield, Neale Patrick and Russell Weir also looking to impress as substitutes.
Head Coach Peter Richards is pleased with the squad heading into the first match of the 15/16 season. “The new recruits that have come in and have added to the already strong squad and we’re certainly in good shape.
“The Championship is looking more competitive than ever this season, with all squads strengthening well during the off-season. It’s great to start the season at home, and Moseley will be a big challenge for the opener.
“Both sides will be looking to start the season with a win so it promises to be an exciting match.”
